I just have to share our big find for the month. Today we met a bunch of wonderful people at the Lone Star Children's Christmas Party. One woman, Karen (Lauren's Gourmet) shared a few of her mixes that she sells off her website. Even my non-GF daughter loved them. The first was her Cinnamon Coffee Cake and all three of us gave it a huge thumbs up. It was truly refreshing to eat GF food that was like non-GF food in taste and texture. The next item we tried was the Chocolate Chip Muffins. Now my big question is...how did she make these taste sooooo yummy?

Welcome Lone Star Celiac GIG Kids
We were invited to attend the Lone Star Celiac GIG Children's Christmas Party in Dallas today. We decided it would be a great way to inform all those kids out there who are GF that there is a NEW group forming just for them and all about FUN! So we handed out slips to everyone we could with the link to the GF Kids blog and our email.
So send us an email letting us know you are interested in being placed on our activities email list. When the next activity is set up we will send you an email letting you know about it and all the details.

First Meet and Greet Gathering
Our first gathering date has been set. We hope you are able to attend.
Event: GF Kids Meet & Greet
Date: Saturday, October 23rd, 2010
Time: 1:00pm - 3:00pm
Location: Will be disclosed upon your email of interest to attend but will be within Tarrant County.
Snacks: Each family brings one GF snack for as many people as they are bringing. (pot-luck style)

Our First Gathering
We are working on getting our first gathering organized. If you are interested please email me at goodfunglutenfreekids@yahoo.com. I am looking for people to help organize this first gathering in anyway you are interested, from organizing the GF snacks to getting notices sent out.
